Championship disciplines:

  • Linefollower  . The robot's task is to drive a given track, which is a black line on a white field, as quickly and accurately as possible.
  • Mini Sumo  positions itself as the smallest, but not the weakest sumo robots.
  • Lego Sumo  can surprise with its universal use.
  • iRobot Sumo  vacuum cleaner robots, creatively modified to fight in the ring.
  • Folkrace  robots compete on an obstacle course that only the most agile and resourceful robots are capable of completing.
  • In drone  competitions, the pilot must be skilled enough to navigate an obstacle course with a flying robot drone.
  • In the Freestyle  category, everyone has the opportunity to demonstrate their robotics achievements to a wider audience with LEGO or free-form construction solutions.
  • Antweight  robot competition - a discipline in which robots are controlled by a remote control.
  • In the VEX IQ competition, participants must solve tasks prepared for the competition.
  • The WEDO competition is intended for younger students, whose robots compete in speed and strength.
  • FLL Challenge - a discipline in which you build and program a LEGO robot that performs robot game missions.
  • Dragrace - the robot's task is to drive a given straight track from the start to the finish line as quickly as possible and stop at the end of the track without leaving the finish zone.

Attention Lego discipline participants, as changes have been introduced to the rules (!!!) :

  1. A participant can be registered as an operator in one Lego sumo discipline for only one robot;
  2. A Lego sumo robot is awarded a loss if a part weighing more than 5 g becomes detached from the robot during the fight and falls outside the ring, except if the part remains in the ring, in which case a loss is not awarded;
  3. It is prohibited to turn the tire inside out and/or place it on another tire already installed on the wheel;
  4. During one Lego Sumo match (between fights up to 2 wins), deliberate changing of parts of the existing structure or adding new parts to the robot structure is prohibited, except in the case of a broken part, in which case the spare part must be identical to the broken part;
  5. If the Lego sumo robot does not move within 10 seconds of the referee's starting signal, the robot is awarded a loss.

Please note the changes in robot dimensions:
(!) In the Lego sumo for students under 12 years old, the robot dimensions can be up to 20x20x30 cm
(!) In the Lego sumo for students 13+ years old and PRO groups, the robot dimensions can be up to 15x15x20 cm .
*The robot may increase in size after the start, no more than 10 cm from the initial dimensions.

Lego sumo students in both age groups are allowed to use only certain official and licensed, but unmodified LEGO parts included in the following robotics kits, such as NXT 2.0, EV3, Spike or Invertor ( https://www.pvg.edu.lv/robotika/2023/Documents/LEGO_parts.pdf ). Parts that are not included in these kits are prohibited. In the Lego sumo PRO group, however, there are no restrictions on the use of parts kits, at the same time they must be official and licensed LEGO, but may not be modified (cut, glued, sanded, etc.).

Participation in the event is free of charge , there are restrictions on the number of team members or the age of the participant according to the discipline in which the robot is entered. In several disciplines, participants are divided into age and professionalism groups.

Photography and filming will take place during the event . By registering and participating in the event, participants give their consent to photography and filming.

Participants  are strongly advised to bring a change of shoes for their own convenience.

Participants will have access to classrooms where they can prepare their robots for the competition. If necessary,  they should bring power extension cords , as there may be a shortage of electrical outlets in the classrooms.  We will not be able to provide participants with extension cords .

Minisumo and iRobot sumo  participants  must wear gloves  and, while the robot is not participating in the fight in the ring,  must provide safe sleeves for the blades to avoid injuring other competitors!

In the Minisumo student group, the robots will be started with a button, in the Minisumo PRO group with a remote control.
